There has been horrific flooding in Germany and there are very good articles covering it. Specifically in Passau, this is the highest water levels they've seen since 1501, according to Spiegel.de. Pretty serious stuff.

An oldie and a goodie. By now, most German students have seen this movie, as it was released in 1999, and if you've been to Berlin, you have a pretty good idea of what the look of this movie is. It's spectacular.
